How the estimates work

Every answer comes from the values you enter. There is no account, score, recommendation engine, or hidden financial profile behind the result. These are planning estimates—not quotes, bills, or individualized financial advice.

Subscription formula

Monthly equivalent = monthly plans + (annual plans ÷ 12). The yearly and five-year views multiply that monthly equivalent by 12 and 60.

Commute formula

Annual miles = one-way miles × 2 × days per week × 52. Fuel cost uses annual miles ÷ MPG × gas price. Parking, tolls, and the wear allowance are then added.

Electricity formula

Annual kWh = watts ÷ 1,000 × hours per day × days per week × 52 × number of appliances. That total is multiplied by your price per kWh.

Savings-goal formula

Months remaining = (goal − amount already saved) ÷ monthly contribution, rounded up to a whole month.
