Annual total = monthly equivalent × 12. Five-year total = monthly equivalent × 60. The calculator assumes prices and plans stay unchanged so you can compare consistent scenarios.

Worked example

If monthly plans total $65 and annual plans total $120, the annual plans add $10 per month. The combined monthly equivalent is $75, the annual estimate is $900, and the five-year estimate is $4,500. Canceling $20 per month would reduce that straight-line five-year estimate by $1,200.

What this calculator does not know

It cannot predict price increases, taxes, promotional periods, family-plan changes, foreign transaction fees, or services you add later. It also does not decide which plan is valuable to you. A subscription used every day may be a better fit than a cheaper one you never use.

Use the answer as a review list

  1. Open two or three months of card and bank activity.
  2. Write down every recurring charge, including app-store billing.
  3. Check annual renewals in email receipts and account settings.
  4. Mark each plan as keep, compare, pause, or cancel.
  5. Confirm cancellation inside the service and save the confirmation.

Common questions

Subscription calculator FAQ

How should I enter annual subscriptions?

Add the annual price of every once-a-year plan and enter the combined figure in “Annual plans total.” The calculator divides it by 12 so the annual and monthly plans can be viewed together.

Should I include subscriptions I share with someone?

Use only the portion your household actually pays if you want a household estimate. If you pay the full amount and others reimburse you, include only your net cost after dependable reimbursements.

Does the five-year number include investment growth or inflation?

No. It is a simple price-times-time comparison. It does not claim that canceling a plan will produce an investment return, and it does not predict future price increases.

Are my entries saved or sent to Everyday Totals?

No. This calculator runs locally in your browser. Everyday Totals does not receive the amounts you type.
